{Adventures} Grayson Highlands State Park, Virgina

Sam took me on my very first camping trip about a year and a half ago. We were living in Boone, NC at the time, so we ventured about an hour or so north to Grayson Highlands State Park in the Virginia mountains. Sam had traveled here with his parents many times over the years, so I think it was fun for him to take me this time. :)  If you ever get the opportunity, we definitely recommend visiting Grayson Highlands to day-hike or camp!

Our secluded and peaceful camping spot, where Sam built a fire and we had s'mores for breakfast with the scenic Blue Ridge Mountains all around us.

A great view to see first thing in the morning!

You don't have to hike too long to notice that Grayson Highlands is home to many wild ponies (eee!). They wander around the park, and are so friendly that you can even pet them (and, you know, takes pictures with them).

Mountainous views everywhere you look!
