Last August, after being apart for the entire summer, Sam showed up at our doorstep two days before our one year wedding anniversary with an eight-week old Siberian Husky. I already knew about her and I already knew he was coming home, but this is a sight that I will never forget. Such a sweet, sweet reunion. We named her Luna and she was our anniversary gift to each other.
If you've ever had a pet that's close to your heart, then you'll understand completely when I say that Luna has become such an irreplaceable part of our little family. Since day one, she has added so much fun, excitement, laughter, adventure, exercise (haha) to our lives. She faithfully and excitedly races to the door every time Sam gets home... she hides her face in pillows when she knows she's in trouble... she is obsessed with the millions of squirrels around here... she sleeps right above Sam's head every night... she's so smart and learned so quickly... she is an excellent bug trapper (seriously, that dog is awesome)... she loves her "foxy" toy (now somewhat beheaded, thanks to Kaia). This pup has so much personality!
Here are a few of my favorite photos from Luna's first year:
These were the first photos we saw of Luna.
Happy Birthday, Luny girl!
